As you may be aware Microsoft has announced price increases, this isEurope-wide price change for its volume licensing programmes to take effect as of 1st July 2012..

Microsoft will adjust prices for volume licensing partners in the EU/EFTA region to address the imbalance in pricing across the European region starting July 2012 to address sustained currency differences between European countries.  Microsoft are increasing UK Service Provider Licencing by 33.4%. 

 

Microsoft are not releasing a full price list until 1st June but we have visibility of the proposed changes that are unlikely to change.

 

We estimate that it will increase cost of sale cost of sale of Hosted Desktop with Office Professional by £4.20.  Nasstar will have to pass on this increase through to our partners, Nasstar is absorbing the increase in operational cost for the platform servers.  Nasstar believe that it will be possible maintain the current app server fees and potentially we will still be able to lower the cost of the entry level app server.   However, changes in SQL licencing model and the pricing increase will impact some application hosting costs.

 

These changes will not effect charity/education pricing.

 

We are working with Microsoft to maintain existing pricing for current users until January.  This will cover all users live before 15th June.

 

Nasstar will confirm these changes within the next 30 days.  Further information will be released as we have it. 

 

Nasstar and the Microsoft UK Partner community are requesting Microsoft Corporation to rethink these changes.

Nasstar are pleased to welcome iHotdesk to the Nasstar Hosted Desktop White Label Partner Programme. ihotdesk is a well established IT support services and consultancy based in London. ihotdesk’s first contract under the white label programme is for a customer with over 100 Hosted Desktop subscribers.
